Clarrie the Clown bear

Clarrie
This is not my pattern It was from a pattern called George that was given to me. The designers name was not on the pattern.
So forgive me.
Clarrie is 30cm tall with out his hat, and 40cm. tall with his hat.
I'm made from Felted Schulte Mohair, he has black glass eyes to see with and sculpted face, with shading
to make him a lovely aged bear. He has 5 jointes, one cotter pin and legs and arms, lock nut and bolts.
His tummy has been softly filled for that aged saggy look. The tummy was filled with glass beads for weight, to make him nice to hold. Plastic pellets to make him squishy, and poly fill.
His nose, eyes, ears and paws have been air brushed to look a little grubby from years of hugging.
His paws are made from  leather. His cute little button nose is embroidered and waxed.
He is wearing a double torn collar and hat made from cotton and  stiffening.
With  a ruffel down the front with air brushed pom poms
He wears an old rusty key around his neck, that is on leather thronging.
He fits so well into a very old collar box that comes with him. It is made of leather, and has Collars written in gold on the lid. The strap is broken just where you buckle it. Plus there is a tiny patch where  the top of the leather has come off. This all adds to the age and  history of the box.

Clarrie looks Old worldy, with that gentley worn look of being well hugged.

He comes with the collar  box.

$130.00 Australia dollars plus postage.(I only send registered mail).

The Cedar Trunk

An Old Cedar Trunk.
To store the mohair.
I need a friend!!!! Granny was given this old cedar trunk to store her mohair in this week.
So she promptly filled it to the brim, with all sorts of plains and curls, and swirls.
I dug down to the bottom to see if a friend was in the trunk for me.  Us Teddy Bears are made of mohair and I thought may be a friend was hiding in the bottom.
No such luck. Although is did feel soft and like bouncing on a cloud.

This is the old trunk

How much mohair and does any one want.!!!mmmm????

Granny says she never knows what colour she will feel like making tomorrow.
Well I didn't find any friends, but I did go out on the lawn , and guess what I found
TOAD STOOLS.
I can't eat toad stools so Granny said  to come inside and help her bake.
It was called Apple and sour cream slice.
I did help stir.
It is a bit hot to eat just yet. May be I might burn my tongue.
Arrr... Just right with a nice cup of tea...
It was all so yummy I was trying to lick the last bit out of the cup, when Granny caught me.
Hummmph!!! I got the telling off for not having manners. I told her that she wouldn't want me to waste any would she!!! ****###.
That was not the right thing to say. "Manners need to be used at all times. " I could hear her saying with a high pitched raised voice. Then came the words that stuck in my throat.
"If you don't have manners you won't be able to go to camp."

Well I have just decided that is good to have manners all the time. Yes that is all the time.
(May be after camp I won't have as many.")

Peanut butter on toast and off to bed. Day light saving night, I can snooze for another hour.
See you all next week.

Getting excited about  camp...

I am dreaming about camp, and thinking about camp, and talking about camp...

It is driving Granny batty, because she tells me I ask her 10 times a day " how long before camp"
So she said I could see for myself how long. Granny found a calendar and said every morning I could tick the days off. I had my picture with the first tick. It was on 23rd March. I have 2 more ticks now.

Ohhh!!! dear there is a lot of ticks to go before camp...
It did make me feel a bit better because Granny said that she needed to take my shots up a little, she didn't think I would grow that much before camp.

I hate having to stand still on the table while Granny pins up my shorts.
The ruler comes out and those terrible pins...

"Granny don't prick me I don't like this one little bit."
I had to hold my arm up high I don't want pricks in my paws.
Granny said "Now see what happens when you wriggle Wilbur, one leg is longer that the other you must stand STILL".
I told Granny I don't care how long the legs of my short are I am sick of standing still and those pins frighten me. So she said we could have a break and try latter. I say MUCH latter.
Before supper I was reading a book about Gollies, because I am still missing Golly a bit.
He was my best friend and "Friends are the best things in life."

Guess what I had for supper? You will never guess!!! Peanut butter on toast, and a glass on warm milk.
See you all next week.
Hugs Wilbur
