I have no lick left.

Help, my licker has run dry.

Granny has been writing so many Christmas cards and she said I could help her by putting the stamps on. Well she has written so many cards my licker has run out of lick.
I had to have a drink of water in between licking.
Then I had a great idea.
Honey is sticky, yep.. I think this will work, I will just put honey on the back of each stamp, and Bob's your Uncle.
Oh no!!!!! Granny has found out and said the ants would get into the letter box and eat all the honey, then the stamps would fall off.
Oh well I thought it was a good idea.

I will have the honey and peanut butter on my toast, and I will eat it before any ants know that it is there.
See you all next week.

To all my friends here in Blog land
This card is for you.
and I didn't have to lick a stamp!!!!

My thought for the day.
"Success is going from failure to failure
Without loosing enthusiasm."

And I didn't even have to lick this one.y Thought For The Day

  1. Well done Wilbur, and thanks for the lovely greeting card. Have a super duper Christmas! xx

  2. Hi Wilbur,

You and Granny make a great Christmas card team, but maybe next you you should sign the cards and let Granny lick the stamps (giggle).

    Heaps of December Hugs,
    Prudence ♥

  3. Honey flavoured stamps...yummy x

  5. Wilbur, you're a beary hero licking all those stamps... we don't know how yours in Australia taste but the German ones were awful... terrible... horrible... blarg. But we must praise our German post service - they offer self-adhesive stamps since some years... according to us one of the best inventions ever... ;O) You're idea with the honey was very clever... blame it on the ants that it didn't work!

  6. Dear Wilbur!
Licking stamps is a necessary evil before the coming up holidays:) But just think how many friends you and Granny have :) That's the most precious part :)

  7. Hi Wilbur, your poor licker. It must have been quite dry. I agree that hunny is sticky, that's how it stays on your fur for later, but would I waste it on stamps no sirree. Try a little sponge with water on it net time you want to help Granny. Defitootly keep the hunny for later.

  8. Wilbur dear..tell Granny that when it's so cold there won't be any ants. Not 'til summertime. :) I think it's a great idea..and if ants do bears will just eat them up. We don't even care..I mean they are FULL of honey..aren't they??? Hmm..I thought they were...

  9. Don´t be sad your idea doesn´t work... no honey for the stamps + no honey for the ants = sooo much more honey for Wilbur!
Thanks for the unlicked christmas card!
    Hugs Melli

  10. Such a sweet and helpful bear!!! love the photos!!!!
I will make that pizza recipe card soon !!!! It was so good ....I make dough so often that I test out new ideas to make the dough even tastier and now I think I finally hit the nail on it!!!

  11. ADORABLE!!!!! I love that you have bears instead of elves to help you!

  12. Hi Wilbur you are very nice with your hat and you have make a good work . Thank you so much for your card. Big hugs.cathy

  13. Hi Wilbur it seems like it's been forever so long since we stopped by to visit you. Don't the stamps taste terrible when you lick them? You are such a wonderful help to Granny.
