I'm all wrapped up.

It's present wrapping day.
I don't understand these Humans... "Granny why are you wrapping every present with the same coloured Paper.""Well you see Wilbur, every year I have a theme, and this year it is red and white stripe. Last year it was plain white, The year before that was silver. Do you get the hang of it."  Well how do we know who's present is who's.
"We get little tags like this to put the peoples name on it." Ok, I suppose that will work.
Boy I was all tied up in ribbon and sticky tape, and paper. We had loads of wrapping to do.
Granny said we had to stop for supper and we will do some more tomorrow.
I've had this wrapping today, BUT it makes me think Christmas is getting closer every day.
I am so excited. I keep wondering what I might get in my stocking.......
Before I go, I wanted to show you our purple driveway. The Jacaranda's are nearly finished and I haven't posted a purple post, so I thought I would show you our pretty driveway.
The perfume is wonderful.
Well I am having toast Peanut butter and Honey for supper, with a lovely warm glass of milk.
Now its off to bed, and guess what, all I can see are stripes. Granny said to count sheep if I can't sleep. Well I tell you all the sheep have stripy coats, and that puts me off.
Oh well morning will come soon enough.
See you all next week.

WELCOME
and Merry Christmas to all my lovely followers.

My thought for the day.
"Happiness is a perfume you can not pour on others,
with out getting a little on yourself."
by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

  1. Hi Wilbur,

Be careful that you don't fall into a box and get wrapped up as a Christmas prezzie.

    Have fun with Christmas wrapping.

    Hugs,
    Prudence ♥

  2. Dear Wilbur,
wow, your presents look pretty! You and Kay have done a great work there! And your driveway looks really great - like purple snow the flowers cover the ground! Just that they don't melt... and you can not build purple snowmen out of the flowers... or can you? ;0)

  3. Good morning Wilbur:-)

My gosh, you sure were tangled up in all that ribbon! hehe For some reason, Mama Pea won't let us near scissors...no idea why?!! We love that striped wrapping paper, no doubt the gifts look beeeu-ti-ful all wrapped up in it.

Oh wow, a purple driveway, how awesome is that?? We asked Mama Pea if we could take a drive up to your place so that we could smell the Jacaranda petals but she said you live way too far away...drats:-(

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!

Lots of love, hugs & kisses, Misty & Tiffany xoxoxoxoxo

  5. We've said that before - but we have no doubt your stocking will be stuffed with goodies. You're not Santa's little helper - you're Granny's best helper. So many nicely packed parcels... which one might be yours? ;O)

  6. Well Granny is obviously far more organised than LT, who always ends up stuffing hers into gift bags (that she's not even bought yet BTW!) and her only theme is whether it's big enough to fit the gift into...

LT can remember the jacaranda trees from when she was in Australia in November a few years ago, they're much prettier than boring old oak and birch and beech she says.

Hope you got past the stripy sheep!

    Hugs

  7. Hi Wilbur,
We love to help with the Christmas wrapping but that is because girls like to do things like that and besides we get to see some of the pressies. Our mom does the same color paper thing too. Don't they know that no matter what kind of paper they use it's just going to get torn to pieces anyway?
Happy holiday to you and Granny.
    Hugs,
    Bellamine & Wendy

  10. Hi Wilbur,
I don't understand humans either, but we have to humour them don't we? The paper looks pretty, but I would watch those scissors, they look very pointy and sharp.
I love your jacaranda pathway. Alan says he's jealous 'cos we can't grow them and he remembers the lovely colour and perfume from Nigeria and Australia.
    Hugs,
    Jock

  11. I have a theme every year too. This year all my presents are shiny orange with golden ribbons. I HATE wrapping presents, I really do... but I think without a beautyful gift wrapper christmas isn´t completely, isn´t it?
